GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL CELL

The Grievance Redressal Cell looks into the complaints lodged by any student and judge its meets. The Grievance Redressal Cell is also empowered to look into the matters of harassment. Anyone with a genuine grievance may approach the Principal / convener in consultation with his/her HOD.

Objectives: The objective of the students Grievance Redressal Cell is to develop a responsive and accountable attitude among all the stakeholders in order to maintain a harmonious educational atmosphere in the college.

Composition:
Chairman : Principal

A senior member of the staff nominated by Principal

Members of disciplinary committee

A representative from non-teaching staff
President Student Union

A lady representative (Prof, in-charge of Girls Common Room)

Functions:

The Grievance Redressal Cell has been constituted for the redressal of the problems reported by the students of the college with the following functions:

  • Redressal of Student’s Grievances.
  • To co-ordinate between students’ and department to redress the grievances.
  • To support the students who have been deprived of the services for which he/she is entitled.
  • The cell shall look into the grievances of the employees and students. After scrutiny, it should suggest the appropriate section and authority for redressal.
  • The grievances of staff and students are submitted to the convener in writing.
  • The convener convenes a meeting of the cell to discuss and decide appropriate measures for the redressal.
  • The final report is placed before chairman for possible implementation.
  • To ensure effective solution to the student grievances with an impartial and fair approach.
  • To make teaching and supporting staff responsive, accountable courteous in dealing with the students.
